Changing the food system requires participation from all sides and at all levels. On April 17, 2012, International Farmer´s Day, both producers and consumers that EkoRural is working with in the Canastas Comunitarias program marched together in Guayaquil, Ecuador for food sovereignty. They form part of a network of grassroots organizations that are uniting to change the entire food system in Ecuador.
